Hwacheon Ice Festival

Yesterday, Saturday Jan. 19 I went to the Hwacheon Ice Festival with a bunch of other westerners. We all had a good time but it was very cold. The festival too place on this big frozen river, besides walking on the ice people go ice skating, ice fishing with a fishing pole of they could just put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and hop right in the water and catch a fish with their hands, you could also drive a four wheeler on the ice if you really wanted too. There were also really "cool" ice sculptures and an ice cave/castle thing you could walk though. And like all festivals there was a lot of food.

Christmas in Korea

Christmas was great!! We had a party at school which was awesome. Then I went to Seoul and spent Christmas with Emily's friend Jeremy I had a lot of fun but no pics sorry. However, Jeremy did have a party at his house Christmas Day, I was a lot of fun. I got to meet a bunch of new people and Jeremy had the part catered by the military base near by which was super awesome because I got to have a real Christmas diner with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce (but still not the good kind), and pumpkin pie!! Good times...

Another field Trip

We went on another field trip, this time to museum in town. It was a lot of fun, we got to see a lot of old stuff and learned about the history of the area which I thought was awesome, but for the kids one of the best parts of a field trip is the bus ride.
