Its finally spring time here and its so beautiful. There are flowers everywhere!! Pink flowers, purple flowers, big flowers, little flowers , you name it. My favorite thing so far has been the cherry blossoms. They are so beautiful and they are everywhere!! We went out to two dams where the really big and really old cherry trees are. The trees were originally planted by the Japanese when they occupied Korea, but Korea became independent from Japan they chopped down most of the trees as a sign of independence. Anyway, I saw some of the really big one and I took a lot pictures.
Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and it was fun. My friend Irene and I went to dinner then to a movie (Awake-it was terrible) then I went back home where mommy's Sunday school class sang Happy Birthday to me over the phone and I had my little Birthday cake... isn't it cute?
We went on a field trip to the Chuncheon fire station last week, the kids thought it was fun I thought it was pretty dull because I had no clue what the Firemen were saying.
So the new school year started here in Korea, so that means a lot of new kids in Bambini. The school has doubled the number of students and hired only one new teacher (part time), so its been really crazy. Anyway, I have nine students in my class and they are the best kids in the school.... no really they are!! and I have twins in my class... how cool is that!! However, this year I'm only teaching reading to the seven and five year old, not the six year olds which sucks because I miss the six year olds who were last years five year olds, but the new five year olds are really cute but they are a pain in the butt.
